Type Ratings (H)

        The type rating course includes all flight training and theoretical knowledge required, for a helicopter license holder to fly safely and efficiently a new type of aircraft. Experienced instructors will guide the trainee through normal and emergency procedures, as well as in-depth understanding of aircraft systems.

        Duration

        The duration for a full course is five to seven days, however it can be reduced up to three days for pilots already holding similar type ratings, or upon applicant’s request.

        Pre-entry requirements

        • PPL(H) or CPL(H) or ATPL(H)
        • Medical Class 1 or 2 (depending on licence held)

        Course Structure

        • ACH135 T3  – (9 Hours Flight Training, 1 hour skill test, 56 hours of in-house Ground School)
        • A109 – (8 Hours Flight Training, 1 hour skill test, 40 hours of in-house Ground School)
        • Bell 407 – (5 Flight Hours, 1 hour skill test,20 hours Ground school)
        • EC120B – (5 Flight Hours, 1 hour skill test, 20 hours Ground school)
        • R22 – (5 Flight Hours, 1 hour skill test, 9 hours Ground school)
        • R44 – (5 Flight Hours, 1 hour skill test, 9 hours Ground school)
        • R66 – (5 Flight Hours, 1 hour skill test, 20 hours Ground school)

        Note: The training requirements and prices listed above are estimated for a full course. According to EASA regulations, the hours required for a type rating course depend on the applicant’s current types on his/her license. During your enquiry for the course, please provide your license details and credit may be given towards flight and theoretical training based on candidates experience.
